Statement on our COVID-19 Virus Response
At SDTACC, the comfort and safety of our students and employees is our primary interest. With the onset of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, SDTACC staff are closely monitoring the situation with respect to our training and meeting events.
At this time, we are following the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as well as local health officials and all of our classes will run as scheduled in our classrooms.
We know that many of our clients are facing the reality of telecommuting for work as well as company policies that restrict (or outright cancel) all travel and outside meetings. Other students are practicing social distancing and would prefer to avoid public gatherings. SDTACC is here to support you and your training objectives during this unprecedented challenge from the coronavirus.
SDTACC encourages students to not physically attend class if they are feeling ill but instead attend virtually, via our remote training capability. Our staff will assist students and sponsors with remote connections to any class. We have been providing a remote training delivery option for well over a decade, in a highly interactive, robust, tested and proven delivery format.
In addition to our remote training option for all courses, we are taking additional precautions to ensure a safe environment for faculty and staffs as well as students who choose to attend their training in person:
Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting schedule. SDTACC will clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces at least twice daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, faucets and sinks within our office.
Hand sanitization. We offer a hand sanitization station just inside our front door as well as easy access to “no touch” restrooms adjacent to our suite.. Sanitizing wipes are used for our Testing Center computers and latex gloves are available by request for all test takers.
